This is in Colaba, and might be hard to get to if you don’t know someone who already lives here, and it’s definitely something for the more adventurous travelers, but well worth it. The dish is a kind of goat cooked in delicious gravy and served on a bun. It might not sound as good as it actually is, but the proof of the kheema is in the eating. It’s usually gone by mid-morning, scarfed up by the taxi-driver and bachelor population, so it might be worth it to ask a cab driver to take you there. You’ll be in for an adventure, meet lots of people, and also sample some of the best of the city as it’s really lived.
