Hot Tub Dreams are Reality

Many people fantasize and daydream about the possibility of owning a private hot tub. While this has remained a dream of people in the past, online companies are making this a reality for a growing number of consumers.  Choosehottubsdirect.com is a great way to gain information on the various spas and tubs available as well as accessing advice on they style and features that would be best for an individual, couple or family. And with the growing number of options that are available, sizes, styles and additional features, owning a personal home hot tub is easier than ever.

For many people their budget will still be a primary purchase decision-making consideration. Once the amount of money that a consumer is able or willing to spend on the product is decided on, making the specific hot tub choice will be a lot easier. Of course another major consideration is the space that is available to house the spa, and any additional element that is going to be a part of it. Instead of being viewed as limiting or confining aspects of the purchase, it is better to view them as guiding factors that simply assist in guiding the design of a backyard hot tub environment.

Deciding on a tub style is another important aspect of this journey and when more than one person is picking out the tub it can become complicated. This is another instance when predetermined options, decided on by budgetary or space allotment factors, is actually a benefit in the purchase decision. They also come in various colors so perhaps the use of compromise and deciding on personal priorities can be helpful when making the purchase with a partner. There are even companies that allow for a build your own hot tub option, which can be incredibly rewarding and satisfying when making such a large home purchase.

Delhi Rich in History

Delhi is the current capitol of India, it has a very long history and has served as capitol for several empires through the years. Some of the earliest relics found by archaeologists date back to the Mauya period around 300 BCE. What is currently the Indian city of Delhi has been continuously occupied sine this time. In the year 1966 an inscription on a tablet was found near Srinivaspuri regarding the Mauryan Emporor Ashoka, 273 to 236 BCE. Two sandstone pillars were brought to the city of Firuz Shah Tughluq in the 14th century which were inscribed with edicts from Emperor Ashoka. During the Gupta dynasty the famous Iron Pillar near the Qutub Minar was commissioned by emperor Kumara Gupta the first. This piller was subsequently removed from its original spot and placed in Delhi during the 10 century. There have been eight major cities located where Delhi occupies today. The first four of the earliest cities were located in the southern sections of today’s Delhi.

Acoding to Indian folklore Delhi was once the site of a magnificent and opulent city of Indrapastha the capitol of the Pandavas in the Indian epic Mahabharata. This city is said to have been founded in around 2500 BCE. According to Hindu texts the Sanskrit name for Delhi was Hastinapur which translates to Elephant City. The village named Indraprast occupied where Delhi currently sits until the beginning of the 19th century. The British demolished the ancient village to make way for the construction of New Delhi in the late 19th century. Archaeological evidence suggests this city once stood where the Old Fort sits today.

With such a rich and ancient past Delhi is a wonderful place to visit and discover the rich history of India. The crowded and polluted city can get to be much for foreign visitors so five star hotel Delhi accommodations are a must for a relaxing and quiet respite from the busy city.

Travel in Northern Arizona

We are planning to rent a cabin from the National Parks Service on Monday and stay over night. We reserved late and could only get it for the night, but we are lucky we got that, as these cabins are highly coveted and rent out quickly. Instead of luxury hotels, we will be staying  an hour from the Grand Canyon, south west of Flagstaff, Arizona at sixty seven hundred feet elevation. There is no running water and no electricity, but there is an outhouse. It may be possible to see turkey, coyotes, even wolves. Some day I hope to see a mountain lion. They have a camp stove so we can use that.  The next day we plan to head up to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon but first stopping in Page, Arizona and heading over to RD’s Drive-In. I will have the green chili cheeseburger and a chocolate malt and of course the chili cheese fries. the Mexican food looks good, too, like the burrito supra and the breakfast burrito. Maybe they will make me a bacon green chili burger with cheese, maybe a triple. Although it is hard to resist a chili cheese dog. They have chili, as well, and I’d like to see what they call chili. After that food fest, we will roll ourselves back out to the truck and head to the North Rim. We like to camp on our own, back country or dispersed, and we should be able to find a great place right along the rim. I mean, right on the rim of the Grand Canyon. I camped there several years ago and saw a Condor. We got a new tent that we can stand up in and we are looking forward to using it for the first time.

Hopping around in Grand Rapids

I like beer, so when one of my business trips took me to Grand Rapids, Michigan I found a very good place with which to experience some home brew. I found them when I asked the concierge at of one of the hotels Grand Rapids if they knew of any good micro-breweries around and they told me about these two: Hopcats and then find a place that serves Red’s Rye.

Hopcats is a multi-tap that includes all of Michigan’s beers. They have 22 Michigan beers in a 48 tap lineup. I personally, would like it if they had more, but running a brewery isn’t my line of business. While I was there, taste testing all 48 beers on tap, and I do mean just taste testing, 48 beers I think would kill me, I was told that there would be a 49th tap, a limited edition cask beer. Too bad they don’t have it right now, because that sounded really good. They also plan an in-house brewing operation that will feature a beer brewed by a local master and it’s tauted as the kind of beer my dad might have opened after mowing the lawn. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.

It took me a while to find a bar that served Red’s Rye, I’m not much of a rye fan, but since it was recommended, I thought what could it hurt? I managed to find a place that offered free Internet service, so I looked up Red’s Rye and the creator did a decent job of describing his 6.4% ale. The site also said Bello Vino serves the beer. So, I found Bello Vino and ordered a bottle of Red’s Rye. The color was orange and has a creamy head that is a tan color, but then the creamy head drops and foams. It has a light body and the hop is pretty balanced. The hop and rye is mixed with tangerine peel and grapefruit peel which gives the beer it’s citrus aroma. It has a dry after taste. Nice. Very nice.  It has a really hop attitude that make me wonder why then is it necessary to  make most IPA’s 12%? This beer does it with 6.4% and dose it well.

Udaipur: No Gambling on the Stars

Can a guest staying in an Udaipur palace hotel expect to find great casinos either on the property or near by? Probably not, however, if that is on their mind and part of their intended vacation experience, they may wish to travel to Goa. This is primarily due to gambling being illegal in India, with a structured exception in Goa. Also, it is legal in Nepal, and many South Asians have made the journey to Nepal for that very reason. Besides, why do you think Bob Seger is headed to Katmandu? Meanwhile, for tourists who chose the fabulous city of Udaipur, which by the way, was voted as the best city for travelers, for their vacation, there are certainly a great number of fabulous cultural elements, icons and landmarks that keep them coming back.

The Udaipur Solar Observatory is just one of the many attractions the city offers. And this facility is located on an island in Lake Fateh Sagar, which makes it even a great adventure just getting there. And of course, the natural and un-enhanced views might compete with those seen through the powerful telescopes. Solar observatories have many different purposes, though it may seem they are simply there to view the sun. This is of course a simplification. Observatories not only offer the public viewing opportunities and generally educational programs they are also science monitoring, testing and research facilities.

Most people are aware of the solar system in which we exist, and the other planets that orbit our sun. It is also a part of mainstream awareness that Pluto has recently been reduced in its categorization of planet and is now considered to be a dwarf planet, though the exact science of this decision is not generally understood. In addition, the various mysteries of the universe and its elements are studied at the observatory, and the mysteries of anti-matter and black holes and continued topics of analysis, question and discovery. Understanding the exact sciences of these subjects is not necessary to enjoy gazing at the nice sky. And the observatory in Udaipur is popular with local residents as well as the many tourists who visit the

India’s Taj Mahal

India is vast country, full of diverse cultural elements and it also has an incredible history. As one of the ancient world countries, it is has many significant transitional time periods and social eras. As with all major countries, particularly with the ancient ones, it can be incredible to trace their histories through the architecture. This is definitely true for India, and as country whose religious perspective is a significant cultural element, there are some incredible temples and monuments in the country that also serve as major landmarks and tourist attracts. Perhaps one of the most popular and well-known buildings in India, is the famous Taj Mahal. Tourists staying in a palace hotel India are frequently there to visit this amazing building and others.

The Taj Mahal is one of the most famous mausoleums in the world and is located in Agra, India. It was built in honor of the favorite wife of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. And what an incredible testimony of love this is. It could be compared in incredibility to the Coral Castle in Florida, USA built by Ed Leedskalnin for his unrequited love. The incredible building is combination of architectural elements from Persian, Islamic and Indian styles. It is also considered to be the greatest example known of Mughal architecture. It was officially recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Site in 1983. It is also acknowledged as being one of the most respected architectural masterpieces and part of the world’s heritage.

This singular looking mausoleum is actually a dynamic, complicated and intricate system of individual structures. However, the beautiful white domed marble central feature is what is the most recognizable feature and often the center of attraction. The complex was built in the middle of the 17th century. The actual dates of construction are from approximately 1632 to 1653, and its overall design is typically attributed to Ustad Ahmad Lahauri. This period of time was also one of the most prosperous in the empire’s history, and the Shah Jahan was so completely heart broke when his wife Mumtaz Mahal died in childbirth that he had this incredible mausoleum built as a testimony of his love.

Chicago’s Matana Roberts

Chicago is everyone’s kind of town.  It has a complex and exciting history, and is one of the great cultural centers in the U.S.  Its rich traditions in jazz and live theatre continue here with new generations of artists coming into their own in front of Chicago audiences.  It has culture, fantastic attractions, and excellent luxury hotels.  Chicago is a bright spot, even on a cloudy day, and there are always a marvelous array of things to see and do here.  We’ve selected our hotels based on their consistency in providing the finest in comfort and design, so that you’re in the center of the action, and enjoying a magnificent rejuvenation of the body and soul while you’re enjoying all the sights.

There are so many wonderful things about Chicago, and something for everyone.  During that daylight, there are museums and art galleries, coffee shops and shopping, and nearly any kind of pleasant diversion one could imagine.  At night, there are excellent clubs playing some of the most sophisticated and sweet music in the world.  It’s legendary for a reason.  It’s produced some of the best work in musical renaissance in the 20th century, and has a favorite daughter in the 21st century as well.  This would be Matana Roberts.

She’s not living here permanently, but passes through every once in awhile.  She is absolutely worth looking out for, as her sound comes from the deepest part of her Chicago roots.  Her album from 2008, The Chicago Project is a literal testimony to this, and the album has received splendid critical acclaim, as well as popularity among general listeners.  She does chaotic spoken word as well as fantastic vocals, but her claim to fame is the reed instrument, both saxophone and clarinet.  Her childhood was hiphop, and her father exposed her to all sorts of experimental jazz.  This provided the fusion to inspire her to make the work she’s presently committed to, in finding the key to unlock the sweetness within the bitterness, and bring the sweetness out with an angelic musical grace.

Hong Kong Retreat

It has been a long time since I took a break. Been on the go for so long now I am not sure I know what some down time will be like. Well I am going to find out just booked my stay at  boutique hotel Hong Kong. A week of noting but relaxation. I have planned days of spa treatments ad working out. Body wraps, messages, facials, whirlpool soaks, saunas and I am sure I am missing something. I plan to be pretty much unplugged. Not taking calls won’t be answering business related emails and just simply taking time for me. The past few months have been so busy with one client meeting after another, traveling back and forth across the country, late nights and weekends. The week off will be very welcomed. The work has been worth it as the client base has been doubled over the past 6 months and the orders coming in from the established clients are increasing. The focused attention to the issues and relationships has been key to this successful growth and expansion. When I get back from Hong Kong we will be looking to expand and open offices in Chicago and Atlanta. This will require a lot of time and effort on my part so I better stock up on the relaxation now. Upon returning I will need to head off to Chicago to begin the hunt for the office space we will need there. I expect to be staying there for two weeks then I will be heading home for a week and then off to Atlanta for another two weeks. Once these offices are established and running I foresee being able to stay at home more and get the work done from here as opposed to being on the road. However I am not kidding myself, this will probably be the better part of a year away.

Cultures Gathering in Melbourne

There are many sumptuous things to see and do in Melbourne.  5-star hotels are certainly a central attraction, offering an extra distinction to an already-brilliant city.  There are many excellent choices for lodging here, but our five-star hotels are selected carefully to provide you all of the luxurious amenities expected of hotels of this class, but with a difference.  We emphasize a gorgeous blend of innovation with tradition, so that you have access to all the latest technologies to keep you connected and comfortable, but also providing a certain charm and sense of decorum that comes from another time.  In Melbourne, you will find that your perfect getaway begins with the perfect hotel.

Melbourne itself is a fantastic place, with a host of attractions and sights, with lively cultures in music, theatre, visual art, and all sorts of experiments in performance.  There are also superb clubs and pubs to suit your late-night desires, with the latest beats exciting and soothing the local and international crowd.  Melbourne is a place where you can find something to do nearly all the time.  For the new generation of gallery artists, there is a lot of hopeful signs in the city that another cultural revolution is underway.  It’s an exciting time to visit the city, and if there are exhibitions by the art duo Kain Picken and Rob McKenzie , it would be a good way to peek in to what the kids are up to now.

Deeply embedded in the contemporary underground scene in Melbourne, Picken and McKenzie are part of a world trend toward utilizing artistic practices with theoretical and philosophical concerns to make a new visual culture.  This new visual culture, perhaps not necessarily completely new, takes a critical stance toward the social fabric of every day life, and makes an art that enables the viewer to see codes revealed.  Their work, then, is primarily installation, creating environments that immerse the participant-observer in spaces where meaning is difficult.  This creates a dynamic tension that forces a conversation with the work itself.  It’s a very hopeful art, then, while also basing its accusations in the school of cynicism.  The work is so very smart, and the team of Kain Picken and Rob McKenzie are so very articulate about their work, that one feels a sense of something on the verge of happening, or perhaps it happened already but we are looking for the language to speak about it.

Portland is a beautiful city of hills and water and lots and lots of greenery. The natural beauty of the near by Mount Rainer the river and a short distance from the world famous Oregon cost green is all around! A short drive up the gorge and you will find spectacular water falls, in the winter these water falls can freeze are are an amazing sight to see. The best Portland hotels offer green in another way and so does much of the community in Portland and the state of Oregon. Conservation efforts, recycling and environmental awareness are of paramount importance in Oregon. And no wonder with all the natural beauty to be protected. The salmon rounds on the Columbia are a great event for the spring. The parade of lights on the river at Christmas is beautiful with all the boats large and small decorated in lights for the holidays. They parade down the river one evening near Christmas every year. The snow capped Mount Rainer is a shot drive away. Hiking, skiing, nature and spectacular views are all par for the course here. IN the other direction from the mountain you can find yourself at the rugged Oregon coast. This is where the Oregon pine forest meats the Pacific ocean. An often misty and mysterious place. Birds, sea mammals and many other creatures can be seen here. A favorite place for summer whale watching! The water is cool here even in the summer and rain is a daily occurrence all year around. There may be a lot of rain and cloudy days in Portland, but the beauty of the city doesn’t suffer. The water is essential to Oregon’s natural beauty. Portland is a great place to visit all year. Winters can be cold so be prepared but the winters are not usually very snowy like other parts of the country.
